A White Gem (2009)
Feature film "A White Gem" (Part 1, 2) has been recently produced by the April 25 Film Studio of the DPRK.
A film preview took place at the Taedongmun Cinema Tuesday.
The feature film was watched by senior officials of the party, army and state, chairpersons of the friendly parties, officials of party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, creators and artistes in the field of the movie industry and working people in Pyongyang.
The film truthfully depicts the world of transparent ideological and moral spirit of a soldier who upeheld the leader of the revolution with pure mind like a white gem with anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter O Jin U who was boundlessly loyal to the party and the leader till the last moments of his life as a model.
General Secretary Kim Jong Il made sure that O wore a white dress in the sense that the conscience and obligation of a revolutionary soldier following President Kim Il Sung should be unblemished and pure and posed for a photograph with O in the same white dress as his. And he entrusted the most difficult task to O and always looked after his health with utmost care.
This helped O cherish deep in his heart the philosophical principle governing the revolutionary view on the leader and served as a nutritive element in his life and struggle.
The film has moving scenes showing the hero of the film leading commanding officers of the younger generation to display in the course of the struggle to accomplish the leader's cause the intense loyalty as pure as a white gem which remains shining even after it is broken and creditably fulfilling his duty and obligation as a veteran revolutionary.
